The son of famous 1970s crooner and actor David Essex, Billy Cook is about to make a name for himself in his own right.

In 2012 the 25 year old began his acting career by taking a leading role in the gritty British film Traveller - alongside his father (real name David Cook) and Lois Winstone - which premiered at the British Urban Film Festival the following year. As the flick gets ready for its DVD release, Cook recently wrapped filming on another British Indie project; the Hooligan Factory which he appears in alongside Brit stars Craig Fairbrass and Juliet Oldfield (UK release date not set). Further film roles now look set to follow.
